Welcome! This is my journey through studying youth ministry and counseling in Independent Study and Mentorship, or ISM. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. God bless!
As Jennifer Lee says, “Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.”
Hi friends! I was born in Lubbock, TX and currently live in Frisco, TX. Some of my favorite things include coffee, sunsets, summer weather in Colorado, and quality time with my people. If I were to be known for one thing, I would ultimately want my life to be about loving others well.
I have believed in God for as long as I can remember, but it was not until I went to summer camp at Allaso Ranch at age fourteen that I truly began to understand the gospel. I finally understood it was about a relationship with Jesus, not a religion. It was that same week that I felt the Lord calling me to pursue some type of ministry.
I call Hope Fellowship my church home and have had the opportunity to surround myself with a community of wonderful people who love the Lord and want to encourage me in my walk. I am overjoyed at the opportunity to be mentored by James Wilson, the Youth Pastor at Hope Fellowship West, over the course of this year in ISM as I study Youth Ministry and Counseling. My prayer for this year is that I am able to grow spiritually and share the gospel, while asking the Lord to open the right doors and close the wrong ones.

Through my independent study, I strive to expand my skills as a speaker, gain experience in the professional world and explore the field of Youth Ministry. Under the guidance of a mentor, as well as producing my own independent work, I plan to gain a better understanding of all aspects of ministry so that I can go on to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a biblical counselor. Through humility, self-discipline, and integrity, I hope to create an inspiring final product that displays my passion for people, service and the Lord.
“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
